We believe creating a “HOME AWAY FROM HOME” for our beloved patrons to be our leading purpose of what we do and passionate about. Here at Stella Hospitality it’s a culture we belong to; it’s a culture we love from our heart and take pride of, while both we and our lovely loyal patrons treat each others as family and friends.
Located right on the beach in Henley Square, Stella is easily accessible. Conveniently its Just a 20-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD and 11 minutes from the airport. In a relaxed, picturesque indoor setting with extended outdoor dining and stunning views, Stella offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere at the centre of the magnificent Henley beach all year round. With an unbeatable location and stunning views, Stella offers a quality dining experience along with exceptional service for all our guests.
Our History
Stella began as the Henley Beach Institute when it was opened in 1895 and many of its features are still recognisable today.
Stella Restaurant was then established in 1995 by Robert Di Ciocco and Katherine Blake and began as a beloved Mediterranean seaside eatery. Purchased by current owner Annie Jiang in 2015, Stella underwent a complete renovation and reopening after a short 3-week closure in the winter of 2016. With the help of General Manager Filippo Ludovici, together they reinvented Stella as a brand, and made the restaurant about much more than a quick pizza. In 2020 Animesh Mallick took over the management and the overall responsibilities, while Filippo moved to manage their sister restaurant in Hyde Park.
Our young exuberant team in the kitchen headed by chef Pandey, is dedicated to produce modern Italian dishes with all the classic attributions including many delicious seafood items. The menu is based on seasonal produce.
Today Stella is a community cornerstone in Henley Square, hosting the Henley SALA Opening, sponsoring Henley Sharks & Hectorville Football Clubs and Fulham Soccer Club, and partnering with the local historical council for special events.
